Description
Barre Workout – Back & Posture
Barre Workout – Back & Posture is an online workout designed to strengthen your upper back, improve posture, and release tension in a gentle, ballet-inspired way.
This class is suitable for all fitness levels—no dance background required—and can be done at home with a barre or sturdy chair.
We begin with parallel feet and a smooth arm flow to warm up the upper body. The arm lifts overhead and lowers, then opens sideways in alternating reps. This prepares your shoulders and spine for deeper work.
Next, we move into spinal contractions. These help strengthen your core and improve mobility. From here, you’ll fold forward in a 90-degree cambré, then deepen into a full stretch. Throughout, you’ll keep the spine long and active.
Each exercise is repeated on both sides for balance and alignment. We also incorporate arm openings with the palm behind the head to strengthen the upper back and improve posture. Side bends (cambré side) increase flexibility and coordination.
Facing the barre, you’ll gently open the chest in a supported backbend, then move through a series of core contractions and spinal stretches to support strength and mobility. The class ends with deep stretching and a mindful release.
